Here are some of the program elements you might support!
Vocal Music Classes
Power of Harmony vocal music classes are taught weekly at each facility we serve. Two instructors work with the youth to teach proper singing technique, encourage accuracy and help the formation of ensembles inside the youth prison to perform for events throughout the year. The cost/weekly class in a facility is $300.
Live On-Site Concerts
Power of Harmony features periodic live concerts during the year at each of the faciilities we serve. Performances feature a variety of music - rap, a cappella, hip hop, rock, jazz, gospel, and blues. The average cost of a performance is $1,000.
Power of Harmony Youth T-Shirts
Our youth wear purple Power of Harmony T-Shirts when they perform in their respective prisons for their peers, at graduation ceremonies or special family day events. The cost/t-shirt is $15. We provide 20-25 shirts/facility for our youth.
Power of Harmony Choir Robes
Our youth perform at prison worship services and are able to wear special Power of Harmony robes. The cost/facility for 12 choir robes is $250.
